About WWOOF

Mission
Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms, USA (WWOOF-USA®) is part of a worldwide movement to link visitors with organic farmers, promote an educational exchange, and build a global community conscious of ecological farming practices.
WWOOF-USA provides individuals from around the world the opportunity to:
- Gain practical skills in organic farming and gardening
- Experience rural living in the USA while sharing in the everyday life of hosts
- Contribute to the organic and sustainability movement
- Engage in meaningful cultural exchange
At its core, WWOOF was founded to foster connections through farming, learning and living in harmony with nature.
By participating in WWOOF, individuals learn first-hand about organic food systems, ecological farming, and farming culture. In turn, WWOOF cultivates a network of people committed to environmental stewardship and a more sustainable future - offering support to hosts while giving WWOOFers a chance to experience the rewards of growing food sustainably.
For more information on WWOOF's impact in the USA, please check out our impact report.
WWOOF-USA was founded in 2001 and has been creating transformational experiences on farms for more than two decades. We are part of a worldwide effort support existing farmers and provide hands-on training to the next generation of farmers. Find out more about our Future Farmer Program here.
